DragonBet leads with its sportsbook, while the casino part acts more as a companion piece with around 550 games on tap. Both can be played on mobile, which makes the setup convenient for anyone curious to try more than just the betting side. This Dragon Bet review will take you through the details.
DragonBet started online in 2022, backed by a Welsh family with decades in traditional bookmaking through John Lovell Racing. Before moving to the web, they were a familiar sight at racecourses across Wales, taking bets in person.
The online launch brought in casino games alongside the betting markets, with the whole site set up through the Playbook system that many sports betting operators rely on. It’s the only brand under DragonBet Ltd, so there’s no true sister sites to talk about. But it’s very much identical in design to other Playbook casinos.

About DragonBet Casino
The brand has avoided fines, licence warnings, or inclusion on industry blacklists, which matters in a market where the UK Gambling Commission is quick to sanction mistakes.
DragonBet website has a red splash of colour and a white theme offset by black accents, giving it a bold and confident look. We like this colour combo quite a lot.
The main menu places Sports, Casino, Live Casino, and Bingo on equal display, though the sportsbook clearly takes centre stage in branding. The navigation is otherwise direct; the “Account” button is a menu, and then you can access everything within a couple of clicks.
There’s a scrolling banner above the game advert, but no promotions page at all, making it harder to browse through the deals. If you’re curious about the game releases, industry news, or tips, you can check out their blog, which is linked at the top.
Registration took me through two quick pages, I was done in under a minute. That said, the sign up form opens as a small window on the right side of the page, though I would prefer it to be full-screen. The password rules were picky; I couldn’t use my auto-generated one because certain special characters weren’t accepted. Once my account was ready, the site immediately dealt me a ‘deposit’ hand, taking me straight to the payment page.

While you can play DragonBet on a mobile browser and get the same suite of options, it also comes in an app format for both iOS and Android. The Dragon Bet reviews on the Play Store are rather good, 4.0 for Android 4.1 for iOS.
I installed the DragonBet app within five seconds. Upon launch, I was asked to allow the app to view my location. I had my password saved on my phone, but I couldn’t use that info this time, so I had to input everything manually. I did like that the app asked if I wanted to set-up a biometric login right away.
As with the desktop, the casino makes only a small part of the app; it’s mostly a sports betting platform. Design-wise the app is also identical to the desktop. The menu in the top left-hand corner makes it easy to access different areas of the app.
Loading times are fast, it took me less than a second to move between the pages. Game performance was even better, the games loaded in five seconds, which includes live titles. Didn’t have any issues while playing; gameplay was always smooth, even when playing graphically intensive games.

DragonBet’s heart lies in sports betting, and it’s clear that the casino is more of a side project compared to the bookmaker. The site leans heavily into horse and greyhound racing, with football just behind as the other main draw. Odds are competitive, markets are well laid out, and the site has a traditional UK bookie feel that fits its background.
The layout is intuitive. A sidebar on the left lists sports and a search tool, the right-hand side holds your betslip and account links, while the middle is dedicated to fixtures and odds. Racing takes the top spots, with streams offered for UK horse and greyhound races.
In-play betting has its own dedicated page, but only tennis was shown live even as greyhound races were underway. The absence of in-play stats also weakens the section; serious bettors will need a second source open alongside DragonBet to keep track of games.
Virtual sports get their own section too, which at least helps avoid clutter on the main feed. Everything loads quickly and feels easy enough to use, even if there’s nothing particularly new compared to other UK sportsbooks.
No Sports promotions were available at the time of the review.
Dragon Bet Casino is heavily focused on its sportsbook, with the casino side offering just over 550 titles and basically no promotions; aside from the new customer offer that we couldn’t claim. Withdrawals are quick and the £1 minimum for both deposits and cashouts is generous, though the limited available payment methods hold it back. Overall, this site is best suited to bettors who want reliable access to UK racing markets and can live with a modest casino library on the side.
Time to check what we liked and didn’t really about Dragon Bet.
