In a series that now has over 25 games, this game feels the most down-to-earth. Later parts, such as Age of the Gods: Furious 4 or Glorious Griffin, have more layers of mechanics. This game keeps the format cleaner and more accessible.

The entire bonus system in the Age of the Gods slot game is built around the pick-and-match feature. Its purpose is to direct you to one of four rounds of free spins dedicated to specific gods. Our Test Results

Our expert played Age of the Gods in free play mode. This made it easier to check how often bonuses appear and how they actually affect the flow of the game.

The bonus triggered twice during my playthrough. Both times, Athena came first – nine spins with a random multiplier, returning around 40x the stake. Combining with the Zeus round on the second trigger brought this closer to 80x. The Pantheon of Power never appeared for 200 spins, and Poseidon didn’t appear either, so the 10,000x ceiling remained out of reach. A pretty solid session, but the gaps between features were longer than the medium volatility tag suggests.

Our Verdict

Age of the Gods is a progressive jackpot slot from Playtech from 2016. And it’s still going strong. The bonus structure here consists of four rounds of free spins dedicated to specific gods. They can flow into each other in succession, which gives it more depth than most mythological games of its era. Unfortunately, the base game is weak, the feature gaps are long, and the base RTP of 94.03% is below average.
