Few casinos in the UK can say they built their brand around scratchcards, but PrimeScratchcards did. Since its launch in 2007, it has adapted to new technology and shifted under new operators, yet the name stayed the same. In this PrimeScratchcards review, we look into its background, the quality of its game library, its approach to payments, and the fairness of its promotions.
PrimeScratchcards has been around since 2007. From the start, it was clear that the site puts a bigger focus on scratchcards, with a few instant-win titles to back it up. Of course slots didn’t get ignored either.
For a long time, it ran on Aspire Global’s system, but that changed in October 2020 when it shifted over to Skill On Net Ltd, the same operator behind a whole line of UK casinos. This move wasn’t a surprise. Other Prime Gaming brands had already made the same switch, as the group expanded its partnership with Skill On Net, PrimeScratchcards is one of the last sites they transferred alongside Mega Casino, Prime Spins and ICE36.
Skill On Net looks after dozens of casinos in the UK market. PrimeScratchcards is a bit of an outlier in that family, as it markets itself after scratchers; in reality, it’s not that different from the regular casino. It looks modern and up to date, but it is nearly identical to its casino sister sites in both layout and game library.

Who Owns PrimeScratchcards
In 2023, Skill On Net was fined £305,150 by the UK Gambling Commission for shortcomings in social responsibility and anti-money laundering checks. These issues were not tied to PrimeScratchcards itself, and the brand has not been placed on blacklists or linked to scandals.
PrimeScratchcards looks clean for a brand that’s been around since 2007. The site has clearly been brought up to modern standards, with a white and yellow colour scheme that isn’t overbearing. It copies the design of other SkillonNet casinos, though, so we wouldn’t call it unique.
Page loaded quickly during my test. The games launched without errors, and the site remained stable even after several hours of play. I switched between pages repeatedly to check for slowdowns and did not run into any stutter or freezing. Everything held up well under normal use.

The layout is simple and not too hard to get around. First thing everyone will notice, is the large banner at the centre of the page, showing the main promotions. It is too big for the space, pushing the actual games lower down the page. Once we scrolled past it, we saw the game library arranged in a grid. On the left, there’s a sidebar with links to game categories and help, while the footer neatly separates information on payments, licences, and support.
The sign-up process took me less than two minutes. I was given the choice between creating my own username or using a randomly generated one, which was convenient. Password creation was stricter than I liked; it had to include letters, numbers, and a symbol, and usernames could not be longer than twelve characters, which felt limiting. You can use the password generator to create it automatically, but I prefer to use my own passwords.
On the plus side, the registration asked me if I wanted to set deposit limits from the start, something I consider important. In the end, I had to verify my mobile number and select an occupation before the account was ready.

PrimeScratchcards is available on both Android and iOS, with a downloadable app for those who prefer it and a browser version for those who don’t want to install anything. Both options are fully functional, so you aren’t locked into one path.
I tested the Android app. It installed in under five seconds and recognised my saved details right away, which made logging in easy. The layout is intuitive, there’s a bar along the bottom that gives quick access to search, cashier, and account settings.
Every menu I tapped loaded almost instantly, usually in less than a second, and most games started within five seconds. Switching between scratchcards, live tables, and slots felt stable, so I didn’t have to deal with interruptions. What disappointed me was the lack of biometric login; I had to enter my password every time.

We see PrimeScratchcards as a veteran site that still manages to feel current thanks to SkillOnNet’s updated design and huge game library of over 8,000 titles. Its scratchcard focus gives it a different spin from its sister casinos, even though most of the wider catalogue looks identical. The welcome deal of 40 scratchcards is unique, but the high 60x wagering on winnings hurts the value a lot. Taken together, the casino has some rough edges, but the positives really make it a considerable choice.
Here’s a quick look at the main strengths and weaknesses we noticed during our PrimeScratchcards review.
