Even though Betano Casino is a pretty new entry into the online gambling niche, some players may nevertheless recognise it by its parent company’s formula. While the brand’s still establishing itself, the name behind it carries weight, which naturally sets expectations high. In this Betano review, our team will closely examine what it brings to the table and see how it stacks up against more established competitors. We’ll break down our review into key points to help you decide if Betano is worth your time and will talk about bonuses, games, and customer support.
If you’re wondering who owns Betano Casino, reformulate the question. Rather than “who,” Betano, introduced in 2024, is operated by ”what”: BV Gaming Limited (also known as BetVictor). Betano is the youngest child in this casino family featuring both nearly twin-like casinos of PariMatch and BetVictor, and some singular ones, like Heart Bingo.

The Parent Company Behind Betano
While the casino has gained the trust of many, past issues can’t be ignored, and Betano had one with its licence in the past. Back in 2022, the UK Gambling Commission took a hard look at BV Gaming’s operations and found problems with money laundering checks, marketing rules, and player protection. They led to a £2 million fine and forced changes. Luckily, Betano now runs with tighter controls, and there haven’t been any issues since. Some players might still feel uncertain about the track record of Betano company, though, which is understandable.
Betano’s is backed by a reputable brand.
BV Gaming’s way of doing things indicates how its subsidiaries will likely develop, which means updates will probably roll out across all their casinos at once, not just Betano. This will help to maintain stable quality, but might mean Betano won’t have any features of it’s own, continuing to follow the company’s strategy.
Anyone familiar with BV Gaming’s casino sites will recognise their signature style at Betano. The layout follows the company’s framework – a navigation bar front and centre that separates sportsbook, casino, and live casino sections with sidebars on both sides and a promo banner above the games.
Moving around the site takes some getting used to at first. The left sidebar lists every sports category before players get to any casino content + features some useful links. Sure, the categories become clearer once you click on ‘Casino Categories,’ but the extra taps add up. Meanwhile, the right sidebar shows slots and mini-games – a nice touch for players who want quick access to their favourite titles.
The search function, however, delivers. Type in any game title, and there it is, quick and precise. The ‘Categories’ menu next to it offers sorting by themes, types, and providers in a clean layout.
The filtering system here is on point for sure; what I like the most about it is that you can look up multiple filters at once and further personalise your search results. Sadly, such multi-layered filtering is only available for slots. Table and live games only have a provider filter available, which is good but feels half-baked. Especially when slots have everything already.

The game area itself needs more breathing room. Instead of facing the modern swipe-to-browse setup most casinos use nowadays, you’ll have to click through tiny arrows to see categories in the horizontal bar. The game grid is also quite cramped; while most casinos spread the games through the whole page, here, you have a small area at the centre sandwiched between sidebars.
There is nothing wrong with how the games run. They load fast and play well.
The deposit button stays right where you need it, always visible on the screen, which we find really convenient. Also, some popular games have an ‘i’ button next to their titles. Once you click on it, a game info window will pop up. Here, you’ll find game’s description, rules, explanation of its features, tips, etc. Sadly, this is reserved only for the most popular games; smaller slots don’t get this effort.
So, Betano’s interface works fine for anyone used to BV Gaming’s other sites. Though that might be part of the problem – it’s almost too similar. But despite this, of all the sections, the ‘Casino’ once offers everything you’d expect from a proper gambling website.
You can play at Betano on your phone and/or tablet through both an app and a mobile browser. What’s more, the app is available for both iPhone and Android, although we tested only the latter. If not too fond of apps, you mayhead straight to the mobile site instead. It works just as well.
The app download barely takes up any space at 26MB, installing quickly and easily.
Getting around the app feels properly slick once logged in. Everything sits exactly where it should, nice and tidy on the smaller screen.
It defaults to the sportsbook, though, which might irk you if you’re a casino regular, since you’ll need that extra tap to reach Betano’s casino games. Still, searching and filtering work a treat. You can sort through games by provider, type, or special features, just like on a desktop.
I gave Book of Dead and Lightning Roulette a proper run on the app. Both fired up within seconds and ran pretty well, graphics looking sharp on the phone screen. The only minor annoyance came from games demanding landscape mode. A bit awkward for quick sessions on the go.

Browser players won’t miss out on anything. The mobile site handles just as well as the app.
Mind you, there’s been some chat about the Android app being a bit inconsistent performance-wise (4.5 rate). Apple users seem in love with their version, giving it top marks (4.6 average), while some Android players mention crashes here and there. I didn’t run into any trouble myself during testing, but it’s worth knowing about.

Betano’s UK site has earned 3.5 from our team. They’ve nailed the basics: quality games, proper sports coverage, sharp live betting, and spot-on support. Sure, they need to sort out the payment options and give existing users more reasons to stick around, but the foundation’s rock solid. Betano is a perfect fit for anyone who likes mixing casino games with sports bets, especially if they prefer keeping everything under one roof.
