Released in June 2016, Shaman’s Dream slot is one of Eyecon’s most famous games. And it’s no wonder, given its visuals. Shaman’s Dream online slot runs on three sources of winning potential: the doubling wild, scatter pays, and the free spins round.

The White Wolf is wild. It replaces all standard-paying symbols and doubles the payout of any line it completes. That 2× multiplier applies every time. It is the wild’s only function, but it’s a useful one. Five White Wolves on a single payline return 9,500 coins, the highest line pay in the base game.

The Dreamcatcher is the scatter. It pays on any payline, regardless of the payline. Two land, and you get 2× your total bet back. Three pays 5×, four pays 20×, and five pays 450×. Three or more Dreamcatchers anywhere on the reels also send you into the free spins round.

The free spins round is where Shaman’s Dream earns its reputation. Fifteen spins are awarded, and every win during the round is tripled. When the White Wolf wild contributes to a line during free spins, that 2× multiplier stacks on top of the 3× round multiplier, for an effective 6× return on that combination.

Land three or more Dreamcatchers again mid-round, and the feature retriggers, up to 15 times, for a theoretical ceiling of 225 free spins from a single trigger. The slot’s headline figure of 28,500× the stake is only achievable here, with consistent wild involvement and multiple retriggers.

After any base game win, a gamble feature opens. Guess the colour of a face-down card to double the win or the suit to quadruple it. Up to five attempts are permitted per win, capped at 16,000× the stake. It is entirely optional.

The game works on a 5×3 grid with 25 fixed paylines. All of them are active on every spin, without the possibility of reducing them.

Speaking of bets, they are set using two sliders in the lower left corner of the screen. Total bets range from 0.25 to 5 pounds sterling per spin.

I started with the Shaman’s Dream free play demo to test the base game. I was getting small wins regularly, but nothing significant without the White Wolf. I triggered the free spins after about 40 spins, which is normal for medium volatility. The 3x multiplier immediately affected the result, and a re-trigger extended the round. When a wild symbol landed in the middle of the feature, the stacked multipliers reached an effective 6x on that line. That’s where the max win potential is, not in the base game.

We think Shaman’s Dream is for you if you want a slot that doesn’t require much maintenance. There’s a well-built bonus round here, rather than a whole system of overlapping features. Before you play Shaman’s Dream, it’s worth knowing that the base game is intentionally branched. And the real profit comes from the free spins round, so sessions can feel monotonous until it starts.
