The bonus mechanics of Fruit Warp affect payout volatility directly. Although a basic 3-of-a-kind match can pay out in the base game, the largest returns will generally result from the Portal Respin and the Fruit Mode multiplier climb.

• Portal Respin: Landing 4 of the same fruit symbol triggers a respin. The four matching symbols hold in place while the rest of the screen is replaced with new symbols, giving another chance at a bigger combination.
• Fruit Mode: Landing 5 or more of the same fruit symbol activates Fruit Mode and locks in that fruit as the target type. Each matching symbol that lands moves you one step along the Warp Meter, with a respin awarded every time at least one symbol matches the target.
• Dynamic Multiplier: Some steps on the Warp Meter unlock a multiplier, which grows with every additional matching win until it locks in for the round. The size of the increase depends on how many symbols formed the win.
• Extra Life: Other steps on the Warp Meter award an Extra Life symbol, granting a bonus respin if the target fruit fails to land. Using an Extra Life doesn’t advance the meter further.
